Telangana 2BHK Houses To Beneficiaries By March Next Year
Endowments, Law and Housing Minister assured that Telangana 2BHK houses would be built and handed over to the eligible beneficiaries by March of 2019. He formally inaugurated a model 2BHK colony, comprising 45 modern houses, and then participated in mass house warming ceremony held in Yellapalli village in Nirmal Rural mandal on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, he asserted that Telangana Chief Minister was determined to provide shelter to the houseless poor by constructing 2.72 Lakh modern homes. Accordingly, steps were taken to expedite the process and to hand over the houses to the beneficiaries by March of the forthcoming year, he added.
Minister stated that the government was supplying cement and steel at concessional rates to the executing agencies for fulfilling dreams of the poor. He informed that CM had already waived arrears of the weaker sections to the tune of Rs 4,000 crore with regard to previous housing schemes.
This legislator of Nirmal Assembly constituency opined that the newly created model colony was nothing short of a gated community. He suggested those who were waiting to own the modern house not to be disappointed over the delay. He informed that the 45 homes were built each over 560 sq yards, costing Rs 2.83 crore and were equipped with basic amenities including drinking water, street lights and internal CC roads.
Minister, later, reviewing the progress of Telangana 2BHK scheme in Nirmal, Adilabad, Mancherial and Kumram Bheem Asifabad, instructed officials concerned and Collectors to complete the execution of the construction of homes, to which administrative approval was accorded in Nirmal district, by the end of April and end of May for the remaining three districts.
Principal Secretary of Housing, Collectors, Housing Chief In Engineer, Khanapur MLA, Adilabad Zilla Parishad Chairperson, nodal officers of Telangana 2BHK scheme and representatives executing agencies were present.
