Rajasthan Bagged First Prize At State Level In Achieving Target Under PMAY
Rajasthan shined at the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas (rural), Pradhan Mantri Sadak and MGNREGA at the national level by winning several awards. Rajasthan bagged the first prize at the state level in achieving the target under the Prime Ministers Rural Housing scheme while Banswara district got the third position at the district level in completing the maximum number of houses under the scheme.
Similarly, Ghatol and Kushalgarh panchayat samitis bagged the first and third position at the panchayat samiti level, respectively for constructing the maximum number of houses under the scheme.
The awards were given away by union minister for rural development at a function held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Tuesday.
For the impressive performance of Mahatma Gandhi NREGA, he gave away the award to the collector of Jhalawar and collector of Kota for their outstanding work during their tenure in Ajmer district.
Awards in Green Technology category – In the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana, Rajasthan has been honoured with the award in the Green Technology Works category.
In Rajasthan, for the year 2017-18, in the Green Technology Works category, constructed 780 km of work against the target of 516 km. Plastic waste and fly ash were used in the state under Green Technology, which enabled the roads to be built in low cost. Roads made from such innovations and techniques are more sustainable and they also cost less on repair work.
