Pali Master Plan 2023 has been created for Pali District. Pali is a city in Rajasthan state of western India. It is the administrative headquarters of Pali District and comes in the Marwar region. It is situated on the bank of the river Bandi and is 70 km south east of Jodhpur. The Aravalli Range forms the eastern boundary of the district and towards southern boundary it ends at Bamnera village in Sumerpur Tehsil. A zone of foothills lays to the west, through which run the many tributaries of the Luni River.
The western portion of the district includes the alluvial plain of the Luni. As of 2011 India census, Pali had a population of 229,956. Males constitute 52.2% of the population and females 47.8%. Pali has an average literacy rate of 68.2%, lower than the national average of 74.04%: male literacy is 77.24%, and female literacy is 59%. In Pali, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age. It is bounded by eight districts, Nagaur District to the north, Ajmer District to the northeast, Rajsamand District to the east, Udaipur District to the southeast, Sirohi District to the southwest, Jalore District and Barmer District to the west, and Jodhpur District to the northwest.
The only railway junction in the district is Marwar Junction, which is connected with Jodhpur, Ajmer, Ahmedabad and Udaipur. Pali railway station is on the Jodhpur route while the second highest earning railway station in the Ajmer division, Falna is on the Ahmedabad route. Three National Highways pass through the district are: NH14, NH65, NH112 and NH325. The latitude of Pali is 25.771315 and the longitude is 73.323685. It is located between the 25° 46′ 16.7340” N and 73° 19′ 25.2660” E.
Vision of Pali Master Plan 2023
The objective of the Pali Master Plan 2023 is to create enabling spatial and land use planning framework to achieve the Vision of Pali Master Plan 2023 in order to promote, guide and rationalize. The future growth and development of the urban centers is defined by the Master Plan/Development Plans which are evolved for each settlement at individual level. Pali Master Plan 2023 has been considered as one of the most effective mechanism to promote planned growth of the urban centers. It lays down the road map, agenda and framework within which the District growth is envisioned. It provides a tool for the authorities to take decision with regard to current and future development related issues.
Pali Master Plan 2023 provides the framework for rationalizing the orderly movement of traffic and transportation within the District and defines the area for laying down network of various services. The plan is used for promoting integrated development of the urban centre by rationalizing its pattern of land use and their inter-relationship. It also defines the strategies and solutions for overcoming the existing problems of the urban centers and to overcome its infrastructural and service related inadequacies. In addition, it provides options for accommodating the future addition to population which is likely to come to the urban centre due to natural growth and migration. Master Plan acts as a tool for determining the infrastructure cost which would be required to make the District sustainable. The plans offer futuristic solutions by laying down agenda for its growth and development.
