Nawalgarh Master Plan 2031 has been created for Nawalgarh Town. Nawalgarh is a town in Jhunjhunu district of Indian state Rajasthan. It is part of the Shekhawati region and is midway between Jhunjhunu and Sikar. It is 30 km from Sikar and 39 km from Jhunjhunu. Nawalgarh is connected through broad gauge railway line and situated on the Sikar-Loharu railway line section. The broad gauge section passes through the western corner of the city where the main city railway station situated. Now the city has direct connectivity through broad gauge line section to Delhi via Loharu and to Jaipur via Sikar and Ringus.
Nawalgarh city starts from Ghoomchakkar on the state highway 8. Recently Nawalgarh got its own bus depot which is situated on the north-west side of the city along with state highway 8. State Highway-8 passes through center of city which connects city to Sikar and Jhunjhunu. Buses for all the major cities of Rajasthan like Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Delhi and other cities also operated from here. All the buses operated from Sikar and Jhunjhunu depot passes through Nawalgarh as well as other depot buses also passes through Nawalgarh.
The nearest airport to Nawalgarh city is Jaipur International Airport, which operate daily flights to Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune, Indore, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Guwahati, Kolkata, Udaipur, Dubai, Sharjah, and Muscat. The latitude of Nawalgarh is 27.862146 and the longitude is 75.254288. It is located between the 27° 51′ 43.7256” N and 75° 15′ 15.4368” E. It has an average elevation of 379 metres (1243 feet).
As of 2011 India census, Nawalgarh had a population of 95,346. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Nawalgarh has an average literacy rate of 57%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 68%, and female literacy is 46%. In Nawalgarh, 17% of the population is under 20 years of age.

The objective of the Nawalgarh Master Plan 2031 is to create enabling spatial and land use planning framework to achieve the Vision of Nawalgarh Master Plan 2031 in order to promote, guide and rationalize. The future growth and development of the urban centers is defined by the Master Plan/Development Plans which are evolved for each settlement at individual level. Nawalgarh Master Plan 2031 has been considered as one of the most effective mechanism to promote planned growth of the urban centers. It lays down the road map, agenda and framework within which the District growth is envisioned. It provides a tool for the authorities to take decision with regard to current and future development related issues.
Nawalgarh Master Plan 2031 provides the framework for rationalizing the orderly movement of traffic and transportation within the District and defines the area for laying down network of various services. The plan is used for promoting integrated development of the urban centre by rationalizing its pattern of land use and their inter-relationship. It also defines the strategies and solutions for overcoming the existing problems of the urban centers and to overcome its infrastructural and service related inadequacies. In addition, it provides options for accommodating the future addition to population which is likely to come to the urban centre due to natural growth and migration. Master Plan acts as a tool for determining the infrastructure cost which would be required to make the District sustainable. The plans offer futuristic solutions by laying down agenda for its growth and development.
