Kukshi Master Plan 2031 (Draft) has been created for Kukshi Town. Kukshi is a town in Dhar district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. Kukshi is a part of the Nimar region of Madhya Pradesh. It is 350 km from Bhopal and 170 km from Indore. Kukshi is the biggest tehsils of the Dhar district. It is surrounded by the districts of Dhar to the north, Khargone to the northeast, Barwani to the southeast, and Alirajpur and Jhabua to the west. As of 2011 India census, Kukshi had a population of 37,482. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. The latitude of Kukshi is 22.206829 and the longitude is 74.755653. It is located between the 22° 12′ 24.5844” N and 74° 45′ 20.3508” E.
Objectives of Kukshi Master Plan 2031
The objective of the Kukshi Master Plan 2031 is to create enabling spatial and land use planning framework to achieve the Vision of Kukshi Master Plan 2031 in order to promote, guide and rationalize. The future growth and development of the urban centres, it will be critical to define their growth framework The future growth framework of the urban centres are defined by the Master Plan/Development Plans which are evolved for each settlement at individual level. Kukshi Master Plan 2031 has been considered as one of the most effective mechanism to promote planned growth of the urban centres. It lays down the road map, agenda and framework within which the city growth is envisioned. It provides a tool for the authorities to take decision with regard to current and future development related issues.
Kukshi Master Plan 2031 provides the framework for rationalizing the orderly movement of traffic and transportation within the city and defines the area for laying down net-work of various services. The plan is used for promoting integrated development of the urban centre by rationalizing its pattern of land use and their interrelationship. It also defines the strategies and solutions for overcoming the existing problems of the urban centres and to overcome its infrastructural and service related inadequacies. In addition, it provides options for accommodating the future addition to population which is likely to come to the urban centre due to natural growth and migration. Master Plan acts as a tool for determining the infrastructure cost which would be required to make the city sustainable. The plans offer futuristic solutions by laying down agenda for its growth and development.
