Haryana Housing Board Decided To Float 7,578 Flats For EWS & BPL
Aiming to extend residential facilities to all, Haryana Housing Board (HHB) has decided to float 7,578 flats among families belonging to Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Below Poverty Line (BPL) in its 21 estates in the State.
The offer of allotment will commence on June 27 and will continue up to July 26, said the chairman of the Board.
He said that there was a huge demand for affordable housing in the state to cater the housing need to which the Board has decided to float these flats. These three-storey flats or dwelling units would be offered for allotment in Dharuhera, Sirsa, Kurukshetra, Panipat, Karnal, Rewari, Sonipat, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Hisar, Kaithal, Ratia, Pinjore (Kalka), Gharaunda, Yamunanagar, Fatehabad, Bahadurgarh, Palwal, Ambala, Tohana and Narwana.
The allotment price of these flats would be ranging between Rs 4.5 lakh and Rs 7 lakh depending on the site and location, he added.
He said that families belonging to BPL and EWS categories could apply for allotment of these flats. Preference will be given to BPL families. While the applicant must be a BPL card holder for making an application under BPL category, the annual income of EWS applicant should be up to Rs 3 lakh.
He further said that the beneficiaries could also take credit link subsidy scheme benefit at 6.5 per cent under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). He could also get loan facility up to Rs 6 lakh from all nationalized banks and regional rural banks. The said loan would be available on easy monthly instalments up to 20 years, he added.
Giving details of the dwelling units, he said that 127 flats would be allotted in Dharuhera, 314 in Sirsa, 656 in Kurukshetra, 543 in Panipat, 840 in Karnal, 195 in Rewari, 1040 in Sonipat, 933 in Rohtak, 58 in Jhajjar, 649 in Hisar, 570 in Kaithal, 86 in Ratia, 184 in Pinjore, 40 in Gharaunda, 201 in Yamunanagar, 356 in Fatehabad, 191 in Bahadurgarh, 70 in Palwal, 65 in Ambala, 337 in Tohana and 123 in Narwana.
He urged the eligible beneficiaries to take advantage of affordable housing as well as an interest subsidy at the rate of 6.5 per cent on loan up to Rs 6 lakh.
