UP Govt To Conduct Survey For Identification Of Beneficiaries For Welfare Schemes
The state government directed Divisional Commissioners and District Magistrates of all 75 districts to attach priority to survey being conducted for identification of beneficiaries of various state-sponsored welfare schemes. The DMs have been asked to upload data on the official website by August 2.
Chief Secretary issued directions to Commissioners and DMs through video conferencing in Lucknow on Monday. He said that in each district, a nodal officer is nominated to supervise the programme.
Officers have been directed to ensure public declaration of the list of beneficiaries in each village. The list of beneficiaries is read out in the meeting of Gram Sabha and all deprived people be included in the list. Commissioners and DMs have been directed to furnish details of the review, he said.
Field officers were also asked to ensure that a weekly programme of target and quality of the schemes was prepared. Welfare schemes include the pension to destitute women, old age and Kisan pension, Antyoday ration card, Chief Minister Housing Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, National Health Insurance scheme.
He also directed officials to ensure that no one was left out and a special campaign be launched for identification of the poor and destitute so that their names were included in the list of beneficiaries.
The top official said that the remaining work of linking ration cards with Adhaar cards be completed by the end of August as the Central government has extended the date of feeding and seeding of Adhaar cards to August 2018.
So far, 97.61 per cent ration cards of heads of the families have been linked with Adhaar cards while linking of all family members of each family was 84.38 per cent and it should be made 100 per cent by August end, he said.
On National Food Security Mission, he said that from August 1 to 15, food grains be distributed to all beneficiaries and directed field officers to ensure this.
He also directed Commissioners and DMs to hold block-level vigilance committee meets on August 12 and 13 after Tehsil Diwas. Besides members of the committee, local eminent persons and people’s representatives are also invited in the vigilance committee meeting, he said.
