Chandigarh Housing Board 2018 Housing Scheme To Be Launched In September
UT administration got environmental clearance for the new 2018 housing scheme of Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) at Sector 53. The scheme will have 492 flats and is all set to be launched in the first week of September.
CHB chief said that the Ministry of Environment has given environmental clearance which was pending for the project and the plan is approved. Now the scheme will be rolled out and the brochures will be released next month.
The 2018 housing scheme is spread in an area of about 8.98 acres at a cost of Rs 200 crore. It will have 1BHK, 2BHK and 3BHK flats of different sizes. Chie Engineer told that there will be 80 EWS flats, 192 3BHK sets, 100 2BHK sets and 120 1BHK sets and will be developed with a modern design.
the 3BHK sets will have twin basements, 2BHK will have one stilt, there would be provision for lifts in all towers. It will have the facility of solar power generation, CCTV cameras will also be installed.
Finance secretary who is also the chairman of Chandigarh Housing Board said the clearances which were required have been taken and the scheme is ready for launch for the general public in the month of September.
The cost of flats is not finalised yet while the officials said, 3BHK would likely cost around Rs 85 lakhs, 2BHK nearly Rs 68 lakhs and 1BHK nearly Rs 30 lakhs.
CHB Chandigarh is expecting a good response for the scheme. The official said since it is the first time that the flats are of modern design, the board is expecting a good response.
