Bhilwara Master Plan 2035 has been created for Bhilwara District. Bhilwara is a city in the Mewar region of Rajasthan, India. It is the seventh largest city in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is the one hundred twenty first largest cities in India. Bhilwara District is a district of the state of Rajasthan in western India. The town of Bhilwara is the district headquarters. The National Highway No. 79, part of the Golden Quadrilateral (four lane), and another National Highway No. 76 part of the East West Corridor (four lane) passes through the district. The total length is 120 km. National Highway No. 758 (Kota-Ladpura-Bhilwara-Gangapur-Rajsamand-Udaipur) passes through the district. The length of this highway is 146 km. and other NH 148D (Bhim-Gulabpura-Uniara). The total road length in the district was 3,883 km on 31 March 2000. With a government bus depot in the heart of the city, Bhilwara is connected to all the important cities of Rajasthan and other states. Many private service providers are available. Bhilwara is well connected by road to capital city Jaipur and distance is 253 kilometer. A broad gauge railway line connecting Ajmer, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Kota, Indore Junction, Ujjain, Delhi, Bharatpur, Agra, Gwalior, Lucknow, Kanpur, Allahabad, Patna, Kolkata, Chittorgarh, Udaipur City, Ratlam, Vadodara, Surat, Mumbai and Hyderabad passes through the district. Kota (160 km) is the convenient railway station to provide connectivity to the southern states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The nearest airport is at Udaipur (165 km) — approximately 2.5 hours, by road. The other nearest airport is at Jaipur (251 km) which takes about 4 hours by road. The nearest international airports are in Jaipur, New Delhi, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad. It is bounded on the north by Ajmer District, on the east by Bundi District, on the south by Chittorgarh District, and on the west by Rajsamand District. State Highway (Jaipur-Udaipur) passes through the district, as does a broad gauge railway line measuring 84 km and connecting Ajmer with Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh. The nearest airport is at Udaipur (171 km). It is one of the best clean and green cities of the India. There are 7 sub-divisions in the district: Bhilwara, Shahpura, Gangapur, Gulabpura, Asind, Mandalgarh and Jahazpur. Under these sub-divisions there are 16 tehsils: Bhilwara, Banera, Mandal, Mandalgarh, Beejoliya, Kotri, Shahpura, Jahazpur, Sahada, Raipur, Kareda, Asind, Hurda, Fuliyakalan, Sahada and Badnor. There are four Sub Tehsils also named Bagor (Mandal), Badnor (Asind), Hamirgarh and Puliakalan (Shahpura). The latitude of Bhilwara is 25.346251 and the longitude is 74.636383.  It is located between the 25° 20′ 46.5036” N and 74° 38′ 10.9788” E.

Vision of Bhilwara Master Plan 2035

The objective of the Bhilwara Master Plan 2035 is to create enabling spatial and land use planning framework to achieve the Vision of Bhilwara in order to promote, guide and rationalize. The future growth and development of the urban centers is defined by the Master Plan/Development Plans which are evolved for each settlement at individual level. Bhilwara Master Plan 2035 has been considered as one of the most effective mechanism to promote planned growth of the urban centers. It lays down the road map, agenda and framework within which the city growth is envisioned. It provides a tool for the authorities to take decision with regard to current and future development related issues.

Bhilwara Master Plan 2035 provides the framework for rationalizing the orderly movement of traffic and transportation within the city and defines the area for laying down network of various services. The plan is used for promoting integrated development of the urban centre by rationalizing its pattern of land use and their inter-relationship. It also defines the strategies and solutions for overcoming the existing problems of the urban centers and to overcome its infrastructural and service related inadequacies. In addition, it provides options for accommodating the future addition to population which is likely to come to the urban centre due to natural growth and migration. Master Plan acts as a tool for determining the infrastructure cost which would be required to make the city sustainable. The plans offer futuristic solutions by laying down agenda for its growth and development.
