Affordable Housing Summit 2018, which is being organised by Housing Department, Government of Maharashtra along with Elets Technomedia Pvt Ltd, aims at encouraging affordable and sustainable housing with focusing on innovative cost-effective housing technologies, greater private sector participation with Public Private Partnership (PPP) and exchange knowledge and ideas to build habitable housing on 8 October 2018.

Housing Department of Government of Maharashtra aims at providing safe, affordable and decent housing for all citizens in urban areas in the state of Maharashtra. Towards this objective, the department implements various social housing schemes through MHADA (Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority), SRA (Slum Rehabilitation Authority), Dharavi Rehabilitation Board and SPPL (Shivshahi Punarvasan Prakalp Ltd.). Housing Department, through Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA), is also responsible for promotion and development of Real Estate Sector in the state.
