New DDA Delhi Housing Scheme 400 more flats up for Grab
DDA Delhi Housing Scheme 400 more flats added up by Delhi Development Authority in its 2017 housing scheme, thereby increasing the chances of applicants. More than 40,000 people have applied for this year’s housing scheme.
DDA Commissioner, housing, told it was planned to give around 350 flats to separate agencies but those have now been included in this year’s housing scheme. About 50 flats are those that were either returned in last year’s housing scheme or were not put up for sale because of court disputes. All the newly added flats are in Narela, he said.
Former Union Development Minister had inaugurated the housing scheme in June this year, with 12,069 flats on offer under the scheme, of which 87 were High Income Group (HIG) flats, 404 were 2BHK Middle Income Group (MIG) flats. The rest were 11,197 1BHK Lower Income Group (LIG) flats and the rest are ‘janta flats’.
DDA is likely to conduct a draw in November, which will be live-streamed on the DDA website to enhance transparency. Draw of lots will be held in the presence of senior judges and journalists. Most of these flats are located in Rohini, Dwarka, Narela, Vasant Kunj and Jasola. Cost of these flats range between Rs 53.52 lakh and Rs 1.2 crore for HIG, Rs 31.32 lakh and Rs 93.95 lakh for MIG. For LIG, one has to pay between Rs 14.50 lakh and Rs 30.30 lakh and for janta flats, one has to shell out between Rs 7.07 lakh and Rs 12.76 lakh.
DDA is hopeful of giving flats to people by the end of this year. The draw of lots will be conducted in November and demand letter would be issued by December. After that, DDA will start giving the possession of houses. DDA will ensure that all facilities are provided before handing over the keys.
