Muzaffarnagar Master Plan 2021 has been created for Muzaffarnagar City. Muzaffarnagar is a city and a municipal board in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh and is a part of National Capital Region. It is the headquarters of the Muzaffarnagar district. Muzaffarnagar falls under Saharanpur administrative division of Uttar Pradesh state. The city is famous for its sugar and jaggery production Industries. The city lies in the so called ‘Sugar belt region of western Uttar Pradesh’.
The region is one of the major sugar cane producing regions in the world. The city is situated in the western part of Uttar Pradesh on tract of land lying between Ganga – Yamuna Rivers. The city is located 125 kilometers North East to the National capital, New Delhi. The latitude of Muzaffarnagar is 29.471397 and the longitude is 77.696732. It is located between the 29° 28′ 17.0292” N and 77° 41′ 48.2352” E. Muzaffarnagar is located on an elevation of 272 meters above sea level. As of the 2011 census, Muzaffarnagar had a population of 494,792.
Muzaffarnagar Master Plan 2021 LPA
As per 1981 census, the city is having a total of 28354 households with an average household size of 6. As per the Census 1991 and 2001 the city is having a total of 40101 and 52916 households respectively. The average household size of the city in the year 1991 was 6.17 and it increased to 6.26 in the year 2001. The Total No. of Households in the city as per census 2011 is 68975. The Master plan of Muzaffarnagar is revised for year 2021. The Master Plan has reserved 2,996.39 Hectares of land for Residential use. For the year 2021, the Master Plan has reserved 2989.64 Hectares of land for the estimated population of about 7.50 lakhs. The Master Plan proposed the city population density of 110 persons per hectare and 244 persons per Hecate in residential land use area. The master plan has adopted zoning regulations and mixed use development in the city. The Master plan has proposed for the development of bus stand and work shop in 13.58 Hectares and transport nagar in 6.79 Hectares of land. About 1051.36 Hectares of land, which constitutes 15 % of the city area, is proposed for development of parks, play grounds and open spaces.
Vision of Muzaffarnagar Master Plan 2021
The objective of the Muzaffarnagar Master Plan 2021 is to create enabling spatial and land use planning framework to achieve the Vision of Muzaffarnagar Master Plan 2021 in order to promote, guide and rationalize. The future growth and development of the urban centers is defined by the Master Plan/Development Plans which are evolved for each settlement at individual level. Muzaffarnagar Master Plan 2021 has been considered as one of the most effective mechanism to promote planned growth of the urban centers. It lays down the road map, agenda and framework within which the city growth is envisioned. It provides a tool for the authorities to take decision with regard to current and future development related issues.
Muzaffarnagar Master Plan 2021 provides the framework for rationalizing the orderly movement of traffic and transportation within the city and defines the area for laying down network of various services. The plan is used for promoting integrated development of the urban centre by rationalizing its pattern of land use and their inter-relationship. It also defines the strategies and solutions for overcoming the existing problems of the urban centers and to overcome its infrastructural and service related inadequacies. In addition, it provides options for accommodating the future addition to population which is likely to come to the urban centre due to natural growth and migration. Master Plan acts as a tool for determining the infrastructure cost which would be required to make the city sustainable. The plans offer futuristic solutions by laying down agenda for its growth and development.
