Last Date DDA Housing Scheme 2017, Unlikely to extend Again
Last date DDA Housing Scheme 2017 is unlikely to extend further, as Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has received 16,000 forms till Friday for its latest Housing Scheme, DDA Aawasiya Yojana 2017.
The land owning agency has extended the last date for purchase of around 12,000 flats up for sale to September 11 as it had received only 8,000 forms then. Out of 16,000 applications around 70% people have given preference for MIG (Middle Income Group) and HIG (Higher Income Group) flats while just 30% of the people have showed interest in LIG (Lower Income Group) category. Where as majority of flats 11,197 of 12,069 flats are one-bedroom LIG flats.
For selling of 12,069 flats the agency needed more than 12,000 forms which has now crossed 16,000 mark so, the application deadline won’t be extended any further. The draw of lots date is likely to be preponed which was to take place three months after the last date of submitting the forms, which in this case is December.
DDA is likely to conduct the draw of lots in November so that the process of giving possession of the flats could be started this year itself.
DDA Awasiya Yojana 2017 Housing Scheme was launched on June 30, it has approx 12,069 under which 87 are HIG, 404 are MIG flats and 384 janta flats and rest are LIG. Forms and brochures are available in selected branches of banks in Delhi from June 30 to September 11. DDA Housing Scheme has been linked with the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), people fulfilling the Eligibility Criteria will get subsidy on the interest.
To encourage buyers DDA has relaxed the forfeiture clause, now there will be no penalty levied upon surrendering the flat within 15 days of allotment of demand letter, but after 15 days 10 per cent of the registration amount will be forfeited.
For LIG registration fee is Rs 1 Lakh, MIG and HIG Rs 2 Lakh will be charged.
