Jhalawar Master Plan 2031 has been created for Jhalawar District. Jhalawar district is one of the 33 districts of Rajasthan state in western India. It is the administrative headquarters of Jhalawar District. Jhalawar was once known as Brijnagar. The district is bounded on the northwest by Kota district, on the northeast by Baran district, on the east by Guna district of Madhya Pradesh state, on the south by Rajgarh and Shajapur districts of Madhya Pradesh state and on the west by Ratlam, Mandsaur and Nimach districts of Madhya Pradesh state. The district occupies an area of 6928 km². The district is part of Kota division. The historical city of Jhalawar is the administrative headquarters of the district. The district is divided into six sub-divisions: Jhalawar, Aklera, Bhawanimandi, Pirawa, Khanpur and Manohar Thana. Jhalawar is located 87 km from Kota airport. There is also an airport near Gagron fort Jhalawar in Mundery. Jhalawar has a newly constructed railway station. The railway station is 2 km from Jhalawar. Jhalawar town lies on Highway No. 12. Many government buses go through the district and outside. Private buses are also available for travel. The latitude of Jhalawar is 24.597349 and the longitude is 76.160980. It is located between the 24° 35′ 50.4564” N and 76° 9′ 39.5280” E.
Vision of Jhalawar Master Plan 2031
The objective of the Jhalawar Master Plan 2031 is to create enabling spatial and land use planning framework to achieve the Vision of Jhalawar in order to promote, guide and rationalize. The future growth and development of the urban centers is defined by the Master Plan/Development Plans which are evolved for each settlement at individual level. Jhalawar Master Plan 2031 has been considered as one of the most effective mechanism to promote planned growth of the urban centers. It lays down the road map, agenda and framework within which the city growth is envisioned. It provides a tool for the authorities to take decision with regard to current and future development related issues.
Jhalawar Master Plan 2031 provides the framework for rationalizing the orderly movement of traffic and transportation within the city and defines the area for laying down network of various services. The plan is used for promoting integrated development of the urban centre by rationalizing its pattern of land use and their inter-relationship. It also defines the strategies and solutions for overcoming the existing problems of the urban centers and to overcome its infrastructural and service related inadequacies. In addition, it provides options for accommodating the future addition to population which is likely to come to the urban centre due to natural growth and migration. Master Plan acts as a tool for determining the infrastructure cost which would be required to make the city sustainable. The plans offer futuristic solutions by laying down agenda for its growth and development.
