Jaipur Development Authority House Allotment Cost May Up 15%
Jaipur Development Authority house allotment cost to increase for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Lower Income Group (LIG) category by 15%.
If the proposal of Jaipur Development Authority house allotment cost receives the nod from the state government, the houses under this category will become dearer to the consumers. At present, the JDA allots EWS houses on 25% and LIG houses on 60% of reserve price. The civic body has proposed to allot these houses on 40% and 75% of the reserve price respectively. JDA has also proposed to increase the income slab for both these categories.
An official informed, they have proposed to raise EWS income slab from Rs 1,20,000 to Rs 1,50,000 lakh per annum. Likewise, those having an annual income more than Rs 1.5 lakh but less than Rs 3 lakh will be categorised under the LIG.
Jaipur Development Authority has also proposed to fix the built up area of the housing units that will be constructed under the two category of the houses. EWS house can be constructed in an area of 45 square metre, the LIG houses will have a built up area of 46-90 square metres, he added.
Official explained, the proposal has been mooted as income slab in recent years has increased. Majority of people falling under Economically Weaker Section and Lower Income Group category could not apply in JDA schemes.
The Jaipur Development Authority has also decided to provide relaxation to applicants for applying in Middle Income Group (MIG) and Higher Income Group (HIG) scheme. Earlier, the HIG category people were not allowed to fill a form in MIG group. JDA has decided MIG and HIG category group can apply to purchase any plot bigger than 90 square metre. However, both these category cannot apply for Lower Income Group and Middle Income Group, he added.
