Chandigarh Housing Board has conducted a demand survey under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna – Housing for All (Urban) for the EWS, LIG, MIG-I and MIG-II categories, living in the urban areas in city. Under the demand survey, 1,27,977 applications were received under the Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP), Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC) and Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) categories of the PMAY.
The applications were forwarded to the Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh, for the verification of applicants as per the eligibility criteria under the scheme. After the scrutiny of the applications, 34,085 applications were found incomplete. Of the remaining 93,892 applications, 9,723 applicants have applied under the AHP scheme. As many as 239 applicants under the AHP scheme have been found provisionally eligible after door-to-door survey conducted by the Estate Office, Chandigarh.
The officials concerned collected declaration forms and verified their Aadhar cards, names in the voters’ list, checked if they actually resided at the address specified in their application forms, eliminated duplicate applications and verified if they owned a house. Besides, it was ensured that one-house-per-family criterion was followed by the applicants. The list of 239 provisionally-eligible applicants has been uploaded on the website.
