83,000 Lower Income Group Houses To Be Constructed By Assam Govt.
In a meeting held at Janata Bhawan, Chief Minister of Assam said that the Govt of Assam will soon adopt an affordable housing policy in the state for the financially weaker section of the society. The government would also construct 83,000 houses for the people belonging to Lower Income Group (LIG) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) in the urban areas of the state.
Housing is a basic requirement for every individual. The government is committed to ensure housing for all and Assam would construct 83,000 houses at urban areas of the state for the Lower Income Group (LIG) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Chief Minister announced.
Minister directed the Urban Development Department to prepare the policy providing housing at affordable costs to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and finalize the same at the earliest.
